About 3 miles east of Looe lies Seaton. Although the beach is a pebble / shingle beach, there is plenty of space for games, walks, etc. There is a small cafe beside the beach, although opening times may be dependent on the season.

Seaton Valley Countryside Park, one of four Country Parks in Cornwall, is immediately to the north of the village. The park includes a nature trail that can be followed for nearly two miles north to Hessenford.

Seaton beach stretches from the river almost a mile onto the village of Downderry!
