Porthpean is a warm & friendly club offering a challenging course; the front nine set in parkland, whilst the back nine overlooks the spectacular St Austell Bay.

Situated close to St Austell in Mid Cornwall, Porthpean golf course with its on site accommodation, is a clear favourite when considering a golf break in the county. Clubhouse facilities are open to everyone, and all will simply admire the views from our south coast location.

The front nine holes are in a pleasant parkland setting which borders with Penrice Woods, with distant views of rural Cornwall too. The returning holes offer magnificent panoramic views towards Charlestown, Par beach and Polkerris in St Austell Bay.

The course creates unique challenges demanding the skills of power, placement and fine judgement for the discerning golfer. It is a test for all levels of golfing ability. Members take part in regular medal and stableford competitions, monthly mixed tournaments and inter-club ‘friendlies.’ The club also enters Cornwall Championships and support local charity and fund raising events.

For the non golfer, you can treat yourselves to the ‘Cornish Cream Tee’ or a bar meal whilst relaxing in the clubhouse overlooking the stunning St Austell Bay.

Visitors are welcome anytime my birds, and Porthpean Golf Club can even arrange weddings & events.
