The St Ives area is renowned for it's sublime sandy beaches and crystal clear sea's and Porthkidney Sands beach is no exception.

Although parking can be limited, nor are there any toilets or facilities nearby, this can mean that the beach never becomes overcrowded.

Backed by sand-dunes and at the mouth of the Hayle estuary, Porthkidney is a nice spot for a bit of sun-bathing, swimming or simply relaxing and getting away from it all.

From the A3074 head towards St Uny Church (via either Church Lane or Church Rd), turn into Wharf Road and follow it to the end.
