Polperro is a wonderful place. It could be classed as the 'real' Cornwall, with it's heritage and roots laid bare for all to see. This was just a way of life across the whole county for those that lived in small fishing communities many generations ago.

The quaint fishing village of Polperro is revered by many as 'the' quintessential Cornish fishing harbour. It adorns many a photo album and calendar and it's easy to see why; with it's fisherman's cottages, narrow streets, a romanticized smuggling history and more.

At Polperro Model Village, you get the opportunity to see the village from a seagull's perspective! Unlike many model villages, here you will see the reproduction of the actual village reduced to scale. It enables you to appreciate the aerial view of this beautiful and ancient village, it may even help you find your way around!

Also here is the Land of Legend. Seven stories told in a show of lights, sound and animation, that aim to take you back in time to the legends and superstitions of the Cornwall of old.

There is also an 00 gauge model railway with various trains moving at all times. It incorporates village life, farms, a river, a station and depot and more.

The Polperro Model Village has been entertaining visitors to Polperro since the late 1940's. Having survived fire and floods, this famous Cornish attraction continues to delight families of all ages.
