Whitsand Bay

Polhawn Cove & fort lies due east of Whitsand Bay on the Rame Peninsula. It's a small, secluded beach approximately 1 mile from Kingsand & Cawsand in east Cornwall.

Polhawn beach is difficult to get to, you will either need to access the beach via Polhawn Fort, or over the rocks from Whitsand Bay at low tide.

Its a lovely spot and well protected from the elements too, there is sand as well as rockpools to explore. If you feel tempted to have a little swim, avoid doing so at low tide (due to rip currents)

Head towards Kingsand on the B3247 and then follow Rame Lane towards the fort. There is very limited parking at Polhawn Cove!
