Mount Edgcumbe House is the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. Set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres of Country Park on the Rame Peninsula.

Whether you are searching for a venue for a family outing or group visit, enthused by the magnificent gardens and famous historic house, combining your visit with a cruise of the River Tamar, looking for a civil wedding venue or even viewing the national collection of camellias, you are invited to come and explore, enjoy, learn its history or even dream awhile.

Mount Edgcumbe House was first built in the 1500s and was restored after World War Two. It is jointly owned by Cornwall Council and Plymouth City Council and is one of the regions most popular historic tourist destinations.

The park itself is open year round, daily from 8am to dusk and is free to the public. The free area of the park also includes the National Camellia Collection and the majority of the formal gardens.

Now also available at Mount Edgcumbe, the first of its kind in Devon and Cornwall, is a new sport called Disc Golf. Disc Golf is a 13 hole fixed basket Frisbee course utilising the closely mown sections of the park near the ice house and in front of the main house!

The House and Earl's Gardens open Sunday to Thursday and bank holiday Mondays between 11am and 4.30pm (last admission at 4pm).
