Fowey Aquarium can be found on Fowey's historic Town Quay. The aquarium gives a fascinating glimpse into the kind of marine life that can be found around the south Cornish coast.

OK, the aquarium is pretty small in size, but many visitors are surprised by the variety of different marine creatures on display. Children will especially enjoy the touch pool where they can pick up a crab or have their fingers tickled by ikkle prawns! The majority of fish are sourced from local fishermen.

The aquarium was established way back in 1952, and still has a number of the original fish tanks. Fresh sea water is pumped into the aquarium on a daily basis (at high tide) and therefore the level of  filtration required is minimal.

Once in Fowey head towards St Fimbarrus Church then turn right towards the estuary. This will take you to the Town Quay and the Aquarium.

The closest car park to the aquarium is the main car park in Fowey; Hanson Drive, Fowey PL23 1ET (269 spaces).

This car park overlooks the town and is about a five minute walk downhill to the Town Quay.  There is also an excellent minibus service (Fowey Town Bus) available back up to the car park with a pick-up point by St Fimbarrus Church gates.
