Crantock Beach

Another of Cornwall's fine award-winning sandy beaches, this large beach at Crantock is only a few minutes from the hustle & bustle of Newquay.

The River Gannel flows along the right hand side of the beach (by the sand dunes) and this is a popular spot for families with young children. The beach also has a lifeguard service during peak times.

Parking is plentiful; at one end there is a National Trust carpark and at West Pentire end there is a public carpark and local pub, The Bowgie Inn, perched in a wonderful position overlooking the beach ad Atlantic ocean.

Crantock is found off the A3075 (Trevemper) approximately 2 miles outside of Newquay (see map below).
