Carne Beach

Another under-rated beach in beautiful south Cornwall is Carne beach near Veryan on the Roseland Peninsula. In fact, this area also covers Pendower & Porthbeor beaches too.

It's a good sized beach at low tide (not very big at high tide), facilities are limited although the Nare Hotel overlooks the beach and offers some Cornish cream tea's. A nice bit of sand is revealed at low tide as well as plenty of rockpools to explore. The beach lies between Veryan and Portscatho and can make a good addition to a day out at St Mawes or the castle.

Follow the A3078 to St Mawes from Tregony. Just after the small hamlet of Treworla's turn left onto Rocky Lane. Follow this for about 250m and you will arrive at the beach. There is parking overlooking the beach.
