Boscastle hit the global headlines for all the wrong reasons after the catastrophic floods of 2004.  Although extensive damage was caused, the residents of Boscastle have since worked tirelessly to bring their community back to life.


Much of the land in and around Boscastle is actually owned by the National Trust, including the harbour. It was built in 1584 by Sir Richard Grenville, and it is the only significant harbour along the north coast for 20 miles. The Museum of Witchcraft is also located here. More points of interest are listed on the interactive map below.


Visitors to Boscastle in October are treated with the Boscastle Festival of ‘Real Food’, and in April the Boscastle Walking Week is also hosted here.
