Crystal clear, azure-blue sea's make Porthcurno one of the finest beaches in the UK. Not far from Land's End and Sennen Cove and definitely worth a visit for beach lovers, families, couples, snorkelling, spear fishing - you name it. A very special place indeed.

Kynance Cove

Well known south west Cornwall beauty spot and probably one of Cornwalls most photographed locations, with white sands and azure seas. It's a bit of a trek from the NT carpark (charge for non-members), but worth it. Some facilities available right by the beach (NT cafe).

Watergate Bay

Huge expanse of sand at low tide, good facilities right on the beach including surf & adventure sports equipment hire. Lifeguard cover during peak periods. Great spot for families and those seeking some space to run around.

Harlyn Bay

Another fantastic beach on the north Cornish coast near Padstow, also popular with locals & surfers too. Lifeguard cover during the summer and dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. Good facilities close to hand including surf schools.

Carbis Bay

Extremely popular beach on the south west stretch of coastline, Carbis Bay, like many others, also has fine sands and crystal clear sea. Plenty of facilities in St Ives and a great holiday location with plenty of things to do. Nearby Porthminster beach is also worth a look!

Whitsand Bay

Whitsand is a good beach for exploring in east Cornwall, although be aware that some area's can easily become cut off with the incoming tide. Limited parking and facilities available. No access for wheelchairs users or disabled.

Porthluney Cove

Part of the Caerhays Estate, Porthluney is a quieter location along the south coast, favoured by those with young children. Small shop on the beach (seasonal) and plenty of parking available.

Daymer Bay

Opposite Padstow on the Camel River near Rock. Due to its sheltered facing this is a popular choice with swimmers. Good parking close to the beach and small local facilities available. This can also be a good spot for windsurfing.

Award winning beach, lots of space at low tide but a small amount is still accessible when the tides in. Parking and local facilities nearby. Lifeguard cover during the summer, a river running through it and a pub close to hand - proper job!

Sennen Cove

Wide sandy beach with good facilities nearby and plenty of parking. The beach stretches all the way from Sennen Cove onto Gwynver Beach in west Cornwall. Magnificent views from this section of the South West Coast Path.

Mullion Cove Beach

Small sandy beach only available at low tide. There is also a large cave suitable for brave explorers too. Beach opens up a little once the tide is out. The Harbour is managed by the National Trust. Parking is about a 5-10 minute walk away.

Polkerris Beach

Polkerris beach, owned by a private company, is a small sandy beach located between St Austell and Fowey. Plenty of local facilities available although parking can be tricky during the peak of summer. Watersports are available on site; kayaks, windsurfing, etc.

A superb sandy beach just a few miles outside of Mevagissey on the south Cornish coastline. Parking & facilities available locally. Good choice for families or those seeking a quieter beach location. Note: there is no lifeguard cover at Vault Beach!

Another of St Ives fantastic beaches, Porthkidney has no facilities or parking nearby but can offer a sanctuary for those looking to escape the bustle of this popular holiday destination. Porthkidney is huge when the tides out!

Widemouth Bay

Another fine sandy beach on the north Cornish coast, Widemouth is a popular location for surfers of all abilities. Located about 2 miles outside of Bude, lots of space at low tide and the beach has lifeguard cover during peak times.

A somewhat narrow beach, but still offers all you would expect from the north Cornish coast - fine sand, lifeguard cover, and plenty of places to explore. Look out for the old smuggling passages cut into the rock. Fine views from the South West Coast Path too.

Praa Sands

Lantic Bay

Off the beaten track, Lantic Bay lies between Polruan and Polperro. It offers a welcome respite to those looking for a great beach without all the hustle-bustle. Access can only be found via the South West Coast Path.

The surfing capital of Europe, you are almost guaranteed to surf along local or even international surfing dude's. Parking around Fistral is notoriously difficult but there are some facilities available. Many surfing competitions held here throughout the year.

Perranporth beach

Not far from Newquay lies Perranporth, a massive sandy beach located at the edge of this thriving Cornish town. Parking and local facilities are excellent - there's even a pub by the beach! Popular with surfers, holidaymakers and indeed locals too.
